It sounds too good to be true doesn’t it? But the well known filter company Brita has come up with a tap that meets this specification.
Most of us are aware that our tap water isn’t perhaps as good as we would like it to be. For instance it is largely responsible for the scum you get on the top of your hot drinks sometimes. You might think limescale comes out of your kettle (which it does in essence) but it comes out of your tap first.
Most people will opt for a water filter if they want truly pure water, or at least as pure as it is currently possible to make it. But these filters do have their limitations. For instance you will constantly have to refill it with water to get more filtered water to drink, and if you forget to top it up you will end up having to wait for it whenever you need it. Small wonder some people decide not to have them.
But this tap with a water filter already included as part of the package is a new entry into the market. There is no doubt it makes life a lot easier as you can go back to just using the tap as normal. Pour yourself a glass of water, fill up the kettle and fill up that ice cube tray as well. Whatever you need, you’ve quite literally got filtered water on tap whenever you want it.
It works thanks to a special unit that you don’t even see. As far as everyone else is concerned you’ve just got a normal tap in situ next to your sink. You will see the Brita logo upon closer inspection, but other than that you won’t see a thing.
Unless, that is, you care to bend down and take a look inside your sink unit. This is where the filter system goes, and you can just change the filter itself whenever you need to by quickly replacing the used one with a brand new one. It is just as easy to change as a regular filter, and it makes this tap into a good bet for any kitchen.
Be prepared to pay a reasonable sum for this tap. You can find it available for a few hundred pounds but occasionally you’ll see it on sale as well.
